As a dentist, I worked at charitable clinics and have been a part of various philanthropic initiatives to serve the underprivileged. During my practice, I was able to recognize the challenges to provide accessible, economical and adequate oral health care to patients with disabilities which in turn had consequences on their general health and quality of life.

The LEND fellowship will help me expand my knowledge on Maternal and Child Health principles through prominent experiences of individuals and families, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of passionate fellows and, provide me with tools to advocate for the needs of those with different abilities.

Using the skill set I acquire during the fellowship as well as my dental training, I wish to create a ‘dental home’ for patients with neuro-developmental disabilities with a mission to provide them wih high quality comprehensive oral heath care.
