Behavior Through the Executive Functioning Lens

This 30-minute Lunch + Learn is Part 2 of a series on Executive Functioning, helping boost your understanding of how the brain drives behavior.

This engaging session breaks down the core skills of short-term memory, impulse control, and flexible thinking that shape how individuals learn, work, and respond in challenging moments. Participants will gain practical insights into why certain behaviors occur and walk away with strategies to better support students and adults in developing strong, healthy executive functioning. Perfect for educators and families, and anyone looking to strengthen their toolkit for positive behavior support!

Beyond “Just Try Harder”: Rethinking Behavior Through Executive Functioning

What if behavior isn’t about motivation—but about brain-based skills? This Lunch + Learn explores how executive functioning impacts behavior, breaking down common misunderstandings between children and adults. By reframing behavior through an EF lens, participants gain tools to reduce conflict, build empathy, and support more successful outcomes.
