Keeping Calm and Merry: Supports for the Christmas Break

Christmas Break Social Narrative

As we get closer to Christmas break, some children may feel excited, unsure, or worried about the changes in routine. To help support them, we’re sharing a Christmas Break Social Narrative designed to explain what the break will look like, what they can expect, and how they can cope with any big feelings.

This visual story walks children through:
✨ No-school days and staying home
✨ Different ways families celebrate
✨ Fun activities they might do
✨ What to do if they miss school or feel unsure
✨ Knowing they will return to school after the break

Social stories are a great way to prepare children for schedule changes and help them feel calm, confident, and ready.
