Understanding the IEP

Grab your lunch and join us for a practical, teacher-friendly session on the key parts of an Individualized Education Program (IEP). We’ll break down each section in simple terms—what it means, what to include, and how it connects to your work in the classroom. This session will give you tips you can use right away to help ensure your students’ IEPs truly support their learning and success.

IEP Components

Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) are legally binding, data driven contacts that provide current and historical information regrading individual student strengths and support needs, as well as outline the specific services required to meet those needs. In this Lunch + Learn, Brittany Clark explores the components of an IEP to determine what is needed in each section.

IEP-At-A-Glance Sheet

Keep your student's IEP needs nearby with a “IEP at a Glance” cheat-sheet that highlights key information—such as goals, accommodations, and supports—to help teachers and staff quickly understand how to best support the student’s needs.
