Cheryl Every is one of the people who can be seen working for all departments even when her workload focuses on only one. In her own words, HDC is a great match precisely because it allows her to grow and strengthen her current skills while developing new ones. The work changes, so she can explore options and work on different projects. The youngest of nine children, the mother of two, and the grandmother of six, Cheryl achieved her primary lifetime goal and earned her bachelor’s degree at the age of 50. She believes that individuals with disabilities just want to be treated as normal people and can be grateful for seeing that they can do things on their own. In her free time, she likes to dance and travel with her granddaughter as they live life on their own terms, like it is golden.
