Louisiana Autism Quality Indicators for Schools (LAQI)

The Louisiana Autism Quality Indicators, or LAQI, is a compilation of research based recommendations for best practice in educating students with ASD.  This continuous improvement tool assists schools in evaluating the quality of the programs they offer students with ASD and target areas for improvement in research-based practices. The LAQI is organized into 8 Key Areas:

All of the indicators are listed, along with the supporting literature in the Goals and indicators: A synthesis of the original and the revised Louisiana Autism Quality Indicators (LAQI) frequently referred to at the Synthesis Guide.  It is imperative to familiarize yourself with the Key Areas and the Indicators.  The Team Action Plans as well as the recommendations made to districts and schools are rooted in the LAQI.
