The Human Development Center Constituent Advisory Council meeting will be held in room S4 of MEB (across from the cafeteria) on Thursday, June 4.  The business meeting will start at 10.  HDC staff will arrive at 10:30.

A major portion of the agenda will be devoted to Participatory Action Research (PAR).  Specifically, before lunch Jeanne Lunz will be providing an overview of principles and strategies to support self-advocate and family participation in the planning, implementation and evaluation of research. 

After lunch the meeting will focus on application of PAR principles/components by enlisting the involvement of CAC members (i.e., self-advocates and family members) in the planning of procedures for the “Buddy Group/Service Learning/Club” .

The CAC meeting will provide attendees with the opportunity to be part of the ground floor of the planning of an important interdisciplinary training experience for School of Allied Health Professions students using PAR principles. Looking forward to seeing everyone on June 4.  Bring your enthusiasm and good ideas!
