New Orleans Community Housing Advocacy Network

(NO CHAN)

             Mission Statement

Through collaborative planning, grass roots community action, and public policy advocacy ensure that New Orleans citizens with disabilities have access to affordable, accessible, quality community housing options.  

            Goals/Objectives

As part of an on-going process to address housing needs of persons with disabilities and low income the members of NO CHAN will collectively…

  • Identify problems and issues in housing for persons with disabilities,

  • Assess the housing needs of New Orleanians with disabilities,

  •  Identify goals and objectives to address the identified needs,

  • Develop an annual Housing Strategy Action Plan, and
    implement, monitor and evaluate action plan progress
