CONSOLIDATED PLANS

Consolidated Plans

The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) mandates that the communities listed below and the state of Louisiana develop and submit a long-term plan for allocation of federal money (Community Development Block Grant, Emergency Shelter Grant, HOME, and Housing Opportunities for People with Aids) used for housing development. This plan is called the Consolidated Plan or ConPlan.  Each ConPlan must include an assessment of the housing needs of the community’s residents, including persons with disabilities, a five-year plan, and a one-year action plan.  The one-year action plan details the activities the community will undertake to address the housing needs of all its citizens.  HUD also mandates that each community implement a plan for including its residents in the development of the ConPlan.  This process usually includes public forums and opportunities for public comment before the plan is finalized.  A copy of individual community ConPlans can be obtained using the contact information below.  Communities not listed below are included in the State Consolidated Plan. Copies of the state plan can be obtained by using the contact information for the State of Louisiana. Meeting dates and locations for public comment into the development of each individual ConPlan will be posted on this website.
